Micah got his first shiner yesterday! Here is how it happened ... Jacob has a really great imagination and has come up with all of these "impossible" ideas for us to do lately. A couple weeks ago he wanted to make a movie...not just a home video...no...a real movie with a set and costumes. He wanted me to get out my sewing machine and make some real costumes. Anyway, we compromised and made a home movie. So back to Micah's black eye. Yesterday Jacob came home from school with a new idea brewing in his head. He decided we were going to make an amusement park in our house. He even had a name all picked out, "Character Kingdom." So the moment Tim walked in the door after work, Jacob was ready to build Character Kingdom. He got out a hammer and nails and was very adamant that we start building. Well of course who wanted to play with the hammer that big brother got out...yep Micah. After a few moments of tug of war with the hammer, we had Jacob put it back on the shelf where he got it. Unfortunately, Micah saw where Jacob put it away and reached up to grab it off the shelf. I think it was a little heavier than he expected, because he bonked his face with it and just happened to hit right under his eye. I'm sure this is just the first of many black eyes that Micah will have in his lifetime. The picture doesn't show the shiner in all of it's glory, but if you look closely under his right eye, you'll see a little dark spot.
